“I wanted to let you know how very pleased and thankful I am with the services, nursing staff, and our association with “Sharon Lane” in behalf of my husband, George R. Vermeulen. Our family has experienced a lot of loss and trauma in the past days and having the quiet assurance of a great team of people to help us in the car of my husband, my son’s father, and our grandchildren’s grandfather, has been a pure blessing. The staff, at Sharon Lane, has made a difficult decision and transition as easy as possible.  We want the very best for our beloved family member, and feel confident that this is exactly what is taking place thru the services provided by the Sharon Lane Health Facility. Again, thanks so much for making the life transitions as easy, joyful, and peaceful as possible.  There are NO words to express how grateful we truly are for this.”
- God bless all, Darlene J. Vermeulen [wife of George Vermeulen]

“Again (and again and again) I want to thank you for all your kindnesses and efforts in getting Phil admitted to Sharon Lane. You accomplished this with such ease and dexterity, you are certainly a credit to your vocation and to Sharon Lane. As you told me, Phil had "a parade of visitors."  Everyone with whom I've talked was impressed with Sharon Lane, the good care that Phil received while there and, of course, the quality and quantity of food! Please express to the nurses, aides, doctor, et al, my heartfelt thanks for all they did for Phil.  Their care and kindness is very much appreciated. It is my hope (and prayer) that I may someday have another respite trip and that Sharon Lane will be available to us.  Miracles still happen!”
- Best Wishes to you and your family and Many Blessings, Evelyn [spouse of Phil Rauen]

Thank you so much for the pictures!  It made it almost seem like being there!  Thank you for your thoughtfulness and for following through with your wonderful idea! Yes, Mom did look very happy!  That makes us happy!  Thank you for all you did!  Don't know when we'll be back in the KC area.  We don't have any plans for another trip at present. I trust you and your family had a very Merry Christmas.  Ours was wonderful with lots of people and lots of food, but mostly because we were celebrating the birth of Baby Jesus!
- Thanks again for all you did, Tim and Denise Baum [son and daughter-n-law of Augusta Baum]

Thanks to each and everyone of you for providing such a wonderful environment for Paul. He was content and comfortable in your care for more than five years, and we could not have had a better place for him to live out his life. Your loving care was evident as we visited Paul and spent time with him. Your jobs are not easy and the whole family appreciates your dedication and caring staff. God bless you as you continue to serve the elderly population. Thank you!                                                 -Norma Harms [on behalf of Paul Harm's family]

Your thoughtful and kind caring ways made Betty's last five years a joy. She loved each and everyone including: aides, nurses, activity directors and administration staff, and we can't leave out the food staff. Her last week was amazing with her care and the way we were treated. Thank you for all you did.- Sincerely, Donna Teasley

We cannot thank the staff at Sharon Lane enough for their respectful and loving care they give to each resident. It is this reason that we chose Sharon Lane for Lois- to make it her home, since she was unable to live alone, and she is the third family member to stay at Sharon Lane. The activities keep Lois interested and active which we feel keeps her mind more focused and life prupose. She is always thanking us for finding her such a nice place to love. Lois was always a caregiver and she now is gratefully accepting some of the benefits of care, receiving weekly hair aappointments, manicures, and not cooking each meal. It is reassuring for the family to have Lois at Sharon Lane to allow us to travel, knowing that she is cared for with love, like family. - Thank you from the family of Lois H.

"Thank you ALL for making the care of our loved one so pleasant, peaceful, and excellent!  You ALL go out of your way to make everything as pleasant as possible!" - God Bless, Darlene Vermeulen [wife of George Vermeulen]

“Mother Teresa said we can’t do great things but we can do small things with great love.  Those of you at Sharon Lane did that for my mother, Bonnie Carroll, showing her great love.”
- With profound gratitude, Jean Patterson [daughter of Bonnie Carroll]

“Putting a friend or family member in a nursing home is not an easy thing to do.  My sister, Ruth entered a nursing facility in July of 1998.  She came to Sharon Lane Health Center in March of 2001.  The care she receives at Sharon Lane has been very good.  As a daily visitor at the center, have witnessed the care, respect, and dignity that the residents have received from both staff and management.  The meals served are very attractive.  Music groups, children’s groups and church services are brought in for entertainment as well as in-house activities such as Bingo, cooking, trivia and other craftwork.  A new addition was recently opened offering more resident rooms, new therapy room, dining room, new office space and an elevator to the lower level.  It offers a cheerful update to the center.  I am very happy my sister is a resident at Sharon Lane.”

“I just wanted you to know you have not been forgotten for all your thoughtfulness and the extra care you gave to my uncle, Kenny Kepner during his time of need. Kenny was blessed to have a friend like you there for him. I wanted you to know your help and concern were not unnoticed.  I am thankful you were such a help to Glen.  I’m sure he appreciated it. Thank you ever so much!  Uncle Kenny was so special.
- His niece, Adeline “Viola” Bullard

“Please accept my deepest thanks for helping me make sure my Mother was taken care of during these past 9 ½ months. I also ask that you past this thanks along to all the caregivers that took part in extending this care, from the dining room, assistants, nurses, finance, receptionists, social worker and anyone else I’ve left out. I will miss Mom very much but knowing her life at you facilities was made as easy as possible made it much better for me to handle the entire situation. The words THANK YOU does not seem to be enough but THANK YOU AGAIN.”
- Regards, Margaret Ann Phillips [daughter of Margaret Tush]

" My experience at Sharon Lane was great! They really did a great job getting me stronger so that I could reach my goal to go home. I believe, this was the best choice for me and I'm glad I did not go straight home from my hospitalization. The staff was very nice and the food was great too! I will recommend Sharon Lane to friends and family, should they need rehabilitation."    -Willie H.
