About Sharon Lane
Sharon Lane At A Glance
At the heart of every strong organization is a shared mission and capable leadership dedicated to bringing that vision to life.
At Sharon Lane Health and Rehabilitation, we believe the most effective way to create a caring and supportive environment is through a team based approach combined with a meaningful Life Enrichment Program. Together, these elements foster a warm, home like community where residents are encouraged to remain engaged, connected, and empowered to be the best they can be.
Sharon Lane Health and Rehabilitation offers Independent Living with services, short term skilled rehabilitation, and long term care. As a rental CCRC, there is no large entrance fee—just monthly rent with additional fees based on individual care needs, providing flexibility as needs change.
Our team approach is centered on truly knowing our residents—understanding their personal stories, family backgrounds, interests, and life experiences. This knowledge allows our staff to work collaboratively and consistently within the community, creating individualized opportunities for engagement that support physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well being.
Through our Life Enrichment Program, we are dedicated to creating an engaging, purposeful environment that addresses the needs of the whole person. Our activities and experiences are designed to reduce loneliness, helplessness, and boredom while promoting choice, dignity, independence, and a sense of purpose.
By incorporating animals, nature, creative expression, and regular intergenerational connections—such as visits from local youth organizations—residents of Sharon Lane Health and Rehabilitation continue to thrive, remain active participants in daily life, and enjoy meaningful connections that reflect how they have lived throughout their lives.

Their shared philosophy is rooted in a balanced approach to skilled nursing care—delivering compassionate, attentive, resident centered services while maintaining sound and responsible business practices.
Harry holds a Doctorate in Adult Education and Administration from the University of Kansas and has served as an administrator and owner in several long term care settings. He remains active at the national level with the American Health Care Association, where he serves on the Independent Owners Council, supporting and advocating for independently owned long term care communities.
Connie holds a Master’s degree in Nursing from the University of Phoenix and brings more than four decades of experience in clinical leadership and program development. Her work includes the development and implementation of Sub Acute Rehabilitation Units, Alzheimer’s Special Care Units, long term care risk management protocols, and Plans of Correction. She has also served as a consultant, providing comprehensive planning, organization, and development of nursing services and systems for multiple clients. Connie currently serves as Director of Nursing at Sharon Lane Health and Rehabilitation.
Sharon Lane Health and Rehabilitation is truly a family operated organization. Harry and Connie remain actively involved in the daily life of the facility. Their four children are involved in the business, along with a son in law and daughter in law. The family legacy continues with four grandchildren currently working on staff, and one great granddaughter who visits residents and staff on a daily basis—bringing joy, connection, and a sense of family thro
The Baum family’s mission is centered on a resident focused philosophy that honors individual needs, personal choice, and independence. Through a balance of excellent care, sound business practices, and an active Life Enrichment Program, Sharon Lane supports residents in living meaningful, engaged lives—and remains committed to this vision for years to come.
